1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Plan My Estate platform ("Service"), operated by Plan My Estate Ltd (Company No. 17072759), registered in England and Wales. By accessing or using our Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Plan My Estate is an online platform that provides tools for preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) documents. We offer both Islamic and Standard versions of these documents to accommodate the diverse needs of our users.
Important: We provide document preparation tools only. We do not provide legal advice, and our Service should not be treated as a substitute for professional legal counsel. The use of our platform does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and Plan My Estate.
3. Important Disclaimer
Please read this section carefully before using our Service:
- All documents generated through our platform are professionally drafted based on the information you provide.
- Every document is reviewed and signed by our qualified solicitor before being sent to you.
- Islamic Wills and Islamic LPA documents are additionally reviewed and certified by a qualified Islamic scholar to ensure compliance with Shariah principles.
- While our solicitor reviews every document, the accuracy of the information provided is your responsibility. Please ensure all details are correct before submission.
- Our service does not constitute independent legal advice. If you have complex circumstances, you may wish to seek additional specialist advice.
4. Account Registration
To use our Service, you must register for an account. By creating an account, you agree to the following:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register and use the Service.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and keep your account details up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and must not share them with any third party.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you have authorised such activity.
- You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
5. Pricing and Payment
Our Service uses a fixed-fee pricing model with phased payments:
- Will (Islamic or Standard): £250 total, from £100 to get started.
- LPA (Islamic or Standard): £350 total, from £150 to get started.
- Will + LPA Bundle: £500 total, from £200 to get started.
Payments are collected in three phases:
- Phase 1: Payable on submission of your information.
- Phase 2: Payable after professional review of your documents.
- Phase 3: Payable after signing and posting of your completed documents.
Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe.
5A. Refunds and Cancellation
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel your order.
However, by providing your express consent at the payment stage, you acknowledge that your right to cancel is waived once document generation begins.
- Phase 1 payments are non-refundable once document generation has started.
- Phase 2 and Phase 3 payments are only charged after delivery of the respective service.

6. Acceptable Use
When using our Service, you agree that you will not:
- Misuse the Service in any way, including but not limited to interfering with its normal operation, submitting false information, or using it in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the platform.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.
- Use the Service for any fraudulent, unlawful, or deceptive purpose, including the preparation of documents intended to mislead or defraud any person or organisation.
- Share your account credentials with any other person or allow others to access the Service through your account.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
7. Intellectual Property
The following intellectual property terms apply to the Service:
- The Service, including its design, code, features, branding, and all associated materials, is owned by Plan My Estate and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
- Documents generated through the Service belong to the user who created them. You retain full ownership of the content you produce using our tools.
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited right to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will not share your document content with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Data Protection
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. All personal data collected through the Service is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

9. Solicitor Users
Our Service allows solicitors to register and use the platform on behalf of their clients. The following terms apply specifically to solicitor users:
- Solicitors are responsible for reviewing all documents generated through the Service before providing them to their clients. We do not accept liability for documents that have not been independently reviewed by a qualified legal professional.
- We provide document preparation tools only. The solicitor-client relationship is solely between the solicitor and their client, and we are not a party to that relationship.
- Solicitors must ensure that they have obtained appropriate consent from their clients before entering personal data into the Service on their behalf.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from your reliance on documents generated through the Service, including but not limited to any legal, financial, or personal consequences.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.
- Our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall be limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
11. Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misused the Service.
- You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your access to the Service will be revoked.
- Following termination or account deletion, your data will be retained in accordance with the retention periods set out in our Privacy Policy. After the applicable retention period, your data will be securely deleted.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, such as by email or through a notice on the Service.
Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should discontinue your use of the Service.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Plan My Estate Ltd.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
